Manifesto
What we stand for—and what we refuse
KTC Principles
Positivity with a backbone
We believe in building up, not tearing down—but we don't confuse "positive" with "passive." Real positivity includes defending people, telling the truth, and refusing to pretend that bad behavior is acceptable.
Kindness, not weakness
Being kind doesn't mean rolling over. It means treating people with respect while holding boundaries, calling out harm, and not rewarding bullies, gaslighters, or predators with our silence or our money.
Truth over comfort
We'd rather face hard truths than hide behind lies. We support people who speak up, who document what's really going on, and who refuse to let powerful actors rewrite history.
Accountability
Corporations, platforms, and individuals who cause harm should be held to account. We support transparency, consumer action, and collective pressure so that abuse and exploitation aren't normalized.
No room for hatred
We don't platform, normalize, or enable hate. We stand with people who are targeted, not with those who target them.
No free pass for predators or opportunists
Predators and opportunists rely on silence and "moving on." We support naming harm, supporting survivors, and holding enablers accountable.
A Manifesto for Nonviolent, Secular, and Pluralistic Democracy
The following manifesto articulates eight principles for a just and democratic society. Kick The Clouds aligns with and incorporates these principles.
Eight Principles
1. Nonviolence
We reject all forms of violence—physical blows, the venom of threats, the sting of verbal abuse, and financial coercion. We champion a world where disputes are resolved through dialogue and understanding, not force. Our strength lies in our commitment to peace, our power in our refusal to harm.
2. Secularism
We establish an unbreachable wall between church and state, ensuring equality for all, regardless of belief or non-belief. Our governance and public life shall be guided by reason, evidence, and the common good—never by religious doctrine imposed on others.
3. Pluralism
We celebrate the vibrant mosaic of cultures, identities, and perspectives as our greatest strength. We respect every individual's right to their own beliefs, traditions, and expressions, recognizing that diversity enriches our shared society.
4. Participatory Democracy
We demand true citizen involvement in governance. Money is not speech! The only true voice in a democracy is the human voice. We support systems that amplify participation, not those that let wealth dictate policy.
5. Accountability
We require that leaders meet the highest standards of integrity. Transparency is our weapon against corruption. Those entrusted with power must answer for how they wield it, and we commit to holding them accountable through lawful, principled means.
6. Personal Liberties
We protect individual freedom with the understanding that freedom ends where another's rights begin. Each person's autonomy, privacy, and dignity are inviolable—so long as exercising those rights does not infringe upon others.
7. Science and Evidence
We commit to policy rooted in scientific evidence, tested by scrutiny, and refined by debate. We reject ideology that ignores facts. Sound governance requires honest engagement with reality, not wishful thinking or manufactured denial.
8. Happiness and Well-being
We treat the pursuit of happiness as a birthright, not a privilege. A just society creates conditions where all people can thrive—not just survive. Well-being is a collective responsibility, not a luxury for the few.
Safeguards Against Cultism
To keep this movement grounded and open, these safeguards apply:
- No financial exploitation—this movement does not exist to extract money from participants
- No coercion or manipulation—participation is always voluntary and informed
- No hierarchical leadership—collective wisdom, not individual authority
- Unwavering transparency—decisions, reasoning, and motives in the open
- Absolute respect for individual autonomy—your participation, your terms
Five Core Demands
- End all violence and discrimination
- Truly secular government free from religious influence on policy
- Full citizen participation where every voice matters
- Unflinching accountability for all holders of power
- Government transparency and openness
Kick The Clouds incorporates and aligns with these principles as part of our broader commitment to accountability, clarity, and principled action.
How It Connects
This manifesto provides the philosophical foundation: nonviolence, accountability, pluralism, evidence-based action. KTC translates those principles into practice—through boycotts, through solidarity with allies, through refusing to let bad actors operate unchallenged. Both aim for the same clearer sky.
